No need to worry

Ninety percent of the things you worry about will never even happen. Yes, that is really hilarious if you start thinking about it. Worries just rob you of your time. Worries drain your energy – that’s why you are always tired. Instead, you can use the same energy to think about something positive and empowering.

3 things to think about this week

  • Gratitude – just be thankful for what you have.
  • Focus on “what can go right” instead of “what can go wrong”.
  • Move from worrier to warrior – go into every day with purpose.

May you have a blessed week!

You cannot drift to the top of the mountain

Yes, and you cannot climb a smooth mountain. Life is full of problems, and you must learn to solve them while smiling. Some days are tougher than others, but every day offers something to be grateful for.

Never dwell too long on the negative; there are too many positive things to be grateful for. You can use the 5/5 rule. If it’s not going to matter in 5 years, don’t dwell on it for more than 5 minutes. Enjoy the little things, because most of the time, they turn out to be the big things in the end.

Here are 3 takeaway points for the week ahead:

  1. Only you can take responsibility for you.
  2. Challenge yourself to focus on the positive side
  3. Take deliberate action

Have an awesome week.

How to get started on anything.

Ever struggle to get going on anything? Here is something that will help you get going immediately. It is called the 5,4,3,2,1 rule. Just start counting backwards from 5. When you reach zero you must have started already with what you wanted to do. Activate that investment, grab the rake, vacuum cleaner or make that call – just get going before you reach zero.

Here are 3 takeaways:

  • Start counting from 5 every time you want to delay something.
    • Action creates momentum
      • You are busy creating a habit that will compound over time into something huge.

Keep upgrading your mind.

Self-education

The quote “Self-education is, I firmly believe, the only kind of education there is,” captures a timeless truth. Real learning begins the moment you take responsibility for your own development. Self-education is what transforms your life.

Here are three key takeaways to think about this week:

  1. Your growth is your responsibility. Whether it is reading, listening to mentors/podcasts, studying health or wealth, improving your habits or developing new skills. Nobody can grow on your behalf.
    • 2. It shapes the person you become. Every book you read, every lesson you study, every skill you practice – they all shape your character.
    • 3. Self-education creates advantage in a busy world. Most people stop learning once they leave school or university. That is why those who keep educating themselves automatically rise above the crowd.

Keep educating yourself!

Goal setting

I once heard Anthony Robbins say “Never leave the site of setting a goal, without doing something towards its attainment.” That really hit me hard. How many goals have you set before that you did not do anything IMMEDIATLY to make that goal/dream come true?

You don’t need huge strides – just an inch forward – little by little the path will appear. It might be just a phone call, or to write that first page of the book, or to e-mail a friend. Nothing huge, but take action before you leave the site of setting that goal.

  1. Action creates momentum and momentum moves you closer towards your goals.
  2. By doing something right away you turn intension into commitment.
  3. Every big achievement start with a first step, taken quickly.

So make sure when you set a goal to ask yourself “What can I do right now – today – within the next minute?”
